The Cookie Cutter Comp was designed to eliminate recoil force as much as possible. Hands down, it is one of the best muzzle brakes for SBRs and AR pistols. The Cookie Cutter has a larger surface area to minimize recoil substantially while compensating for muzzle rise, but it is NOT a flash suppressor. Be aware that there will be significant side concussion on any firearm equipped with the Cookie Cutter. It has a large single gas port to expel gases to the left and right, and its heavy duty, parkerized finished steel design makes the Cookie Cutter a durable piece of equipment that can even double as a glass breaker.
