RTB 20" .22LR AR Barrel & Stainless Bolt Group Kit

We've combined a RTB stainless steel .22LR bolt group with a .22LR 20" barrel to provide everything you'll need for converting your upper to a dedicated .22 long rifle format in one convenient package. The barrel has Gov Profile and a 1:16" twist with a ½"-28 TPI muzzle thread and installs in just a few minutes. Add one of our .22LR magazines and you're ready to go!

RTB .22LR products are compatible with all CMMG .22LR products.

AMMO RECOMMENDATION: For in-house testing, we utilize CCI .22LR Mini-Mag 36 Grain Copper-Plated Hollow Point Varmint Ammo (1,260 FPS). We highly recommend this ammunition for use with all RTB .22 barrels. It is important to note that the use of underpowered or economy-grade ammunition may lead to less-than-optimal performance outcomes.

    Ring steel all day long!

    I decided I wanted to built a dedicated 22LR for squirrel hunting duties. I've shot conversions, and although they're fun, they're not that accurate. I went out to my squirrel field. Part of the field has 6" steels on hangers in case hunting gets slow. Two of them are 110 and 150yds away. After a quick dope, I was ringing the 110yd steel without trying very hard! At one point, I was double-tapping steel like it was a joke! I then swung over to the 150yd target. I was low about an inch, so another dope of the scope, and the 150yd target was a piece of cake. What I learned: 1. Conversion kits are fun but not very accurate (for obvious reasons). Luckily, 22 ammo is relatively cheap. 2. A dedicated barrel/bolt works like clock work! WAY better than a conversion, and almost the same price! 3. I went through 500 rounds, with ZERO FTFs, FTEs, Stovepipes or double feeds. ZERO. 4. Dedicated 22's cycle all day long, and are accurate all day long...

    Had placed an order, arrived in less than 4 days, barrel was protected during shipping Had placed an order with a different company, which did not have the level of protection during shipping Flawless finish, next is to put this all together, another review after the range I do believe I will be ordering more in the future, as I build uppers as I go As I have read the other 2 reviews I should not be let down,

    Great barrel and bolt group combo

    Very accurate barrel and the first 250 rnds no FTE or FTF. Paired this with a freefloat handguard and 1x4.5 optic to clone my service rifle. This will be my new Appleseed rifle.

    An impressive value

    The price on this was so good that it forced me to build a 20 inch dedicated iron sight rifle. I attached a 4x scope to test ammunition at 100 yards and found that my barrel likes Remington Subsonic and Aguila SV, making five shot groups of less than two inches once the barrel was seasoned. My prior barrels have been CMMG branded; this RTB branded barrel held no surprises.
