Right To Bear 16" Gov Profile Barrel .223 Wylde (Mid Length)
This 223 Wylde chambered 16" Government Profile Barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a QPQ Corrosion Resistant Finish and QPQ coated M4 feed ramp extension.
Quench Polish Quench (QPQ) is a specialized type of nitrocarburizing case hardening that increases corrosion resistance. It is sometimes known by the brand name of Tufftride, Tenifer Black Nitride or Melonite. QPQ is a huge improvement over Chrome Lined barrels. Unlike chrome lining, where the chrome is built up on the surface, QPQ converts the surface without the risk of dimensional build up. The technique is used when two or more of the following properties are required in a work piece.
.223 Wylde chambers are designed to safely fire both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. This is important because 5.56 NATO rounds generate higher pressures than .223 Remington, and firing 5.56 in a rifle chambered for .223 Remington can be dangerous. Also, .223 Wylde chambers are often more accurate than standard 5.56 NATO chambers, particularly with .223 Remington ammunition. This is due to the tighter tolerances in the chamber, which helps to better align the bullet with the bore.
