Right To Bear 16" 9mm Straight Profile Barrel - Modern Series, 1/2x36 Muzzle Thread


This 9mm chambered 16" Straight Profile Barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a QPQ Corrosion Resistant Finish and requires no gas block or tube.

Quench Polish Quench (QPQ) is a specialized type of nitrocarburizing case hardening that increases corrosion resistance. It is also known by the brand names of H&M Blacknitride+ (black nitride), Tufftride, Tenifer, or Melonite. QPQ is a huge improvement over chrome lined barrels. Unlike chrome lining, where the chrome is built up on the surface, QPQ converts the surface without the risk of dimensional build up.  QPQ makes your gun’s metal 10 times stronger than it was originally, increases the velocity of your barrel by a few hundred feet-per-second, and slickens the surface to make your gun extremely lubricated.

    16” 9MM barrel

    Nice barrel for the money! Seemed to group nice and consistent out of the build. Didn’t shoot past 50 yards, but the rounds were all touching in the size of a tennis ball. Don’t worry about not having an index pin, you don’t need it. If it bothers you that much install one yourself if you’re able. It’s easy with a .125 endmill in a drill press if you don’t have a mill, but not necessary.

    9mm AR Barrel

    I saw this barrel on the web site emailed and asked for a photo of the breech. The Service Rep sent me a photo and I made the decision place the order and ordered on May 10-23, the barrel went out and I was notified with tracking, I tracked it until it arrived May 15 and it was very well packaged, it looks great with a very nice finish. At one point I called customer service and they answered more questions. Satisfied, I installed the barrel and test fired it with 150 rounds. I had zero feeding issues, it was very accurate out to 279 yards, I am very pleased with Right to Bear and the barrel I purchased. Prior to making the purchase I read some scathing reviews but after doing my own research and weighing the facts, made the decision to make the purchase. I'm saying this because Right to Bear did everything they said they would do. They answered the phone, answered the emails, packaged the barrel very well, shipped quickly, communicated with me and "Thanked" me for my business. I think anyone can feel safe ordering from Right to Bear. I am a Satisfied Customer.

    16" Barrel for AR9

    So while not a bad barrel. It's the first I've gotten without a detent pin so it doesn't line up to the receivers slot. While this is not a deal breaker or realistically have any function as 9mm and 556/223 differ in that regard due to feeding the rounds. I haven't shot through it yet. It does fit without issues so that's a plus. When I get the bcg that usps list, I'll do a test fire
