The 9mm is growing in popularity in the AR platform world. Why? Cheap, accurate and hard-hitting ammunition that can be subsonic without special loading is the reason. This Modern Series 9mm 4.5" AR barrel is designed to work with Colt/RR and Glock-style AR builds. It is compatible with Mil-Spec and dedicated uppers. This 4.5" 9mm AR barrel is meant for blowback action. Either use the barrel on an AR pistol build or register it with BATF as an SBR.

Because this BA 4.5" 9mm AR barrel comes with a 1/2 x 28 threaded muzzle, add a can and use 147-grain ammo to shoot without wearing ears. If you put a different muzzle device on it, drop a 9mm bullet through the add-on to make sure a fired round will clear; 9mm will NOT clear .223/5.56 muzzle devices. The 4.5" 9mm pistol AR barrel is machined from 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium steel and given a quench-polish-quench (QPQ) case hardening. The QPQ puts a naturally black finish on the metal.

Note: Possession of this barrel along with a non-NFA lower receiver is prohibited, except when installed on a pistol-configuration firearm.
